Our company was founded by Kimberly Archie to honor the life of her beloved son, Paul Bright Jr. Paul was an aspiring, assistant chef, who worked in craft services for Humble Pie Catering in Los Angeles.
His life was cut short, at only 24, on September 1, 2014, in a high-speed motorcycle crash. Kimberly donated his brain to the Boston
Our company was founded by Kimberly Archie to honor the life of her beloved son, Paul Bright Jr. Paul was an aspiring, assistant chef, who worked in craft services for Humble Pie Catering in Los Angeles.
His life was cut short, at only 24, on September 1, 2014, in a high-speed motorcycle crash. Kimberly donated his brain to the Boston University CTE study. The following April, Paul was found to have extensive artifact brain damage from playing youth football. It shocked the science world since Paul never played football past the age of fifteen. He also had Stage I, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.
As of November 2025, Paul is the only football player in the world to be found to have CTE that didn’t play at least through their senior year of high school.
His passion for food, and helping others, now lives on through Paul’s Ice Cream Company.
